# Durability and Recovery

Each Catto NFT begins with full durability (100/100) but when it is equipped and used to generate rewards, its durability will deteriorate. If the durability reaches 0, the Catto NFT will enter "repair" mode, where it will not generate any $READ or EXP.

Only the equipped pair of Catto will be affected by deterioration. Users can repair their Catto and recover their durability at the cost of $READ, which will vary depending on the Catto NFT level and tier.

**Recovery Cost Per Durability Point**

* Tier 1: 0.04 + 0.009 \* level
* Tier 2: 0.04 + 0.012 \* level
* Tier 3: 0.04 + 0.016 \* level

For Tier-2 and Tier-3 NFTs, certain ReadON community services will be also required to repair these NFTs.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://whitepaper.readon.me/read-fi-token-economy/read-fi-mechanism/durability-and-recovery.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
